Add excerpts to your page headers in Typit

In a way, we can add this as another customizable feature for your theme’s top header area. Typit offers you a nice feature for pages by letting you add custom excerpts to your header. You can use excerpts as a way to provide a page introduction in addition to your main content.

Easy to set this up…

  1. Create or open an existing page in your editor.
  2. If you are using the Classic Editor, make sure your excerpts field is showing at the bottom of the editor. If not, click on “Screen Options” at the top and check the box next to “excerpts“. For Gutenberg, this should show up in the right side column under the Documents tab.
  3. Now you can type a short excerpt for your page. This will then show up just under the page title like you see in the screenshot above.
  4. Click “Save” or “Publish“.
