This theme uses a couple fonts from Google:
- Open Sans – Used for the main content
If you decide you want your own fonts either with a font plugin or perhaps you are making a child theme, we included a setting to disable the theme’s own Google Fonts.This setting will prevent the Molle and Lato fonts from loading which will help manage page load times. It does not make sense to load fonts that are not going to be used, right?
Disable Google Fonts
- Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Theme Options >> Typography Settings
- Look for the “Default Google Fonts” setting and uncheck the box
- Click “Save & Publish“
Other Fonts this Theme Uses
Aside from the Google Font listed, this theme also uses a set of fonts that are already available in your computer, whether you are on a Windows OS machine or an Apple Mac OS system. For select content and the site title, these are used:
- Bell MT
- Times New Roman
- Serif – this is a fallback font if the other two are not available
