Turn Your Featured Image into a Banner

With this theme, you can keep the standard featured image in your post or you can turn it into a banner with the post title on top of it. There is also the option to add an image caption to your banner which sits just under the post title:

Featured Banner

How this works is that your featured image will get expanded to fill the area and your post title will sit on top as an overlay. The second line under the post title is the caption for the image; added from the Media Library.

Standard Featured Image

This is the most common method of showing a featured image for a post, but you can also have this show in addition to the banner.

Choose Your Post Header Style

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Theme Options >> Post Settings
  2. Look for the “Post Featured Image Banners” setting and make your choice.
  3. You can also do this for your pages (static pages)
  4. Click “Save & Publish
