Adjust the width of static pages or blog pages

This theme gives you the ability to manage the width of the content areas of your static pages or blog based pages (such as the blog home page, full posts, categories, and other archives). PureBlog uses the Bootstrap 3 grid layout that also allows for a better managed responsive layout when viewing in various devices, but I’ve added a couple settings to let you change the width of your content.

PureBlog offers a minumum width of 1000px and a maximum width of 1170px. These values are applied to the grid’s main container where everything inside will adapt to whatever width you set. This is controled by a slider in the customizer, which I will show you in a moment, but here is an example of the full width followed by the minimum width:

Minimum Page Width

pureblog width min

The difference is suttle, but it’s enough should you decide to go for a more narrow content page.

NOTE This also affects the header and footer areas of your page too.

Change The Width

You can change the width of both pages and blog pages, or you can adjust either one independently.

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Theme Options
  2. For the “Page” width, look for the “Page Container Width” setting and move the slider forward/backward to adjust the width.
