Hi Douglas…just starting my day here and going through your posting. I should mention that theme support does not include custom changes to a theme, with the exception of letting someone know what file or batch of code of the theme would be involved.
It also looks like you moved some code around, such as the menu, correct? I hope you made your changes using a child theme, because if you changed any coding in the theme itself, whenever there is an update, you will lose your custom changes.
However, with that being said, I have something that might help you out. After looking at your screenshot and reacqaint myself with the theme, I realized I did not provide at least an alternate header layout style. I can definitely create an update to the theme that gives that kind of layout where the menu is below the logo, therefore, adding a “widget position” in the spot you are referencing. I can do this for tomorrow, so hopefully you are not in too much of a hurry.

Yes, that would be great. I couldn’t find an alternate header layout. Thank you and tomorrow would be awesome!

Just a quick note about this theme update I mentioned that will give you an optional header layout…I’m going to try and finish that up and will be available for download for tomorrow if not tonight. It will be version 1.0.6. When done, I will update this support forum topic.
Hoped for today, but with the recent announcement of WordPress 5 and the fact that the Gutenberg editor is going to be the default editor, just making some preparations to be ahead of the game.

OK, all done! Not only did I add a new setting to choose your header style, I also added a new sidebar position (in the header) named “Header”. You can find it in the widgets admin area. The top header is split 50/50 with the left for the logo and the right is the sidebar. This is also responsive for mobile.
In addition to this, I also upgraded the theme to be Gutenberg compatible, should you decide to use the new editor.
You should be able to re-download the theme zip file which is now version 1.1.5.
I’m not sure if you recently added your license key for the theme along with adding your website address, but if you did, you should be able to receive an update notice in your admin area that Blog Writer Pro has an update…which would allow 1-click updates. If you haven’t done this already, we think we got the license key function working as it was giving people an invalid key message. If you get this message, let us know.
For a refresher of the license key and website, you can review the tutorial HERE
