ParticipantI’ve deployed Equable Pro on a staging site prior to going live on my main site, which is Equable Lite [www.broadwayextended.com]. Quite new to managing my web site and have a fairly simple question.
Turned on Dark Mode in the customizer and tweaking changes, when I discover what I’ve inserted as a tag line is not readable. Using the dark mode, the type is quite close to the same color. The problem I have is that I’m not sure where to go to modify the tag line color.
See? Told you the question was fairly simple!
Thanks

ParticipantHi Patrick….thanks for posting in the forum. Let’s see what we can do to help you out.
If I understand correctly, you enabled the dark mode but the tagline (site description) under the site title is hard to see due to the colour?Quick Update: I just tried this on my local test site and the tagline is hard to see; not sure how I missed that but will have to do an update for the theme today. In the meantime, you can add this to the customizer’s ADditional CSS tab:
.site-description { color: #fff; }
Just change the colour to what you want.

ParticipantAndre, will go into the CSS tab and try this. Thanks! Hey, as confirmation that I’m not going insane, I’m glad you tested out the tagline issue on your end with the same results.
By the way, yes, got the Pro version and having a blast on my test site learning the ropes. The Pro features are a natural step for me. -

ParticipantYou are very welcome… I’m here for the next 8 hours and look forward to find out if this fix works for you.
I’m working on an update right now for the Equable Pro theme and adding full Gutenberg support as well; will be a bit tricky because of the preset colours and container sizing for content. A lot of people are using this theme, so I have to be careful not to upset everyone 🙂
There might be a few style adjustments as well since this theme is a 1.5 years old.
I’m also adding the new code for 1-click updates, so hopefully this will work, including the license key erros of invalid key messages, etc. Crossing fingers.

ParticipantYes, indeed it worked. Actually changed the color a few times to test. Glad you’re here and even happier with your Equable Pro updates, especially the Gutenberg. Horrible experience with Equable Lite and the Gutenberg plugin (nothing drastic, but the two didn’t dance too well with each other). I’ve deactivated the Gutenberg plugin.
Speaking of which, I’ve yet to grab my license key to validate because I knew I’d be working from my staging site for awhile. It’s all from Bluehost, so I think it’s much like your Child theme. Can I go ahead and plug in the license key on the staging site? In the end, I’ll be cloning it to my production site.
By the way, the theme tutorials are excellent. Just enough information for a short learning module.

ParticipantI would hold off on the license key until I upload the new version of Equable Pro….this will have the new coding. Once I do this, I will do a quick follow up here.
…thanks for the tutorials comment as well. Some will need updating, or new ones added soon.
