AndreParticipant
I just made an adjustment which will now make the Moderne Pro as version 1.0.5. You should receive an update notification soon, but if not, let us know with a follow up in this topic post.
As a side note, I also did a couple minor updates to the theme as well.
AndreParticipantHi Virginia, I’m going to check the update file in the Moderne Pro theme and then I will follow up here shortly.
AndreParticipantI believe I found the problem, so I just uploaded the new version 1.1.4 with the fix, so you should be receiving an update notification soon. If you do not see the notice by tomorrow, let us know.
What I found is the updater file had 1.1.2 as the version when it should have been 1.1.3. However, because of the correction, I made this 1.1.4 which represents this current fix.
AndreParticipantHi Paul,
I see you used the layout setting to adjust the page width, correct?
There currently is no individual setting for just the full post (single), but if I understand correctly, you want the full post to be wider, but the rest of your site to be the smaller width?AndreParticipantHi Carola,
I would agree that would be annoying. So if I understand this correctly, you are using the Typit Pro theme, but you are getting a notice in your Admin area that doesn’t disappear…not to mention that it’s showing HTML code for it?
When did you update your Typit Pro theme to 1.1.3?
In the meantime, I will double check the theme on my local test site and see if there is anything in the theme causing this notice to show like that; I will assume this is only showing for this theme and no other theme you might have installed? Also, is this the first time you seen that notice?
AndreParticipantQuick Follow up.
How the header image setting was put into the theme is when you are using a static front page, instead of the blog as the front page, the Header Image (WordPress custom header image) feature will not work there, only on the blog’s own home page. So if you have set an image there like you have shown in your screenshot, and then if you go to your blog page, the image will show there.
So for a static front page, open the page you are using for it in the editor and then assign a featured image to it. This will then show up. Also, make sure that the “Page Settings” tab for the Page Header style is set to one of the first two options.
Let me know if that works out for you, and also, what version of Typit Pro are you running?
AndreParticipantHi Kevin…I will look into this right now and see what might be happening. If I see this right from your screenshot, your front page is a static front page and your blog is further in your site, correct?
Also, on the Page Settings tab in the customizer, what is your page header style set to?
AndreParticipantAh… good to hear that solved it. Thank you for the update.
AndreParticipantHow many posts do you have on your site? I noticed that when I click on the “Older Posts” button, it reloads already existing posts which is why it appears it’s out of order. You have duplicate posts showing up and wondering if there is a problem with the Jetpack Infinite Scroll (which I see you are using).
What happens if you disable infinite scrolling?
AndreParticipantHi Jason.
I just went to your link you posted, but I see them in chronological order (latest at the top, then descending by date).April 22 Meet Your Prosper Town Council Candidates!!
April 19 Meet the Candidates: Prosper ISD School Board Trustee, Place 3
March 25 Town Council Set to Again Oppose Bypass Incursion
…etc.Is that how you see it in your view?
UPDATE: Wait, I see what you mean. I will follow up in a moment.
AndreParticipantHi Chris,
Things like that can happen, and usually, it’s related to a plugin. If you are needing something for SEO, I would recommend using the Yoast SEO plugin instead as this one is definitely compatible with the latest WordPress version.
But it’s good to hear things appear to be working now.
AndreParticipantHi Chris,
What is your setting for “Reading” in your site’s admin settings?AndreParticipantAdd this to your Additional CSS tab in the Customizer:
#page-featured-wrapper { text-align: center; }
AndreParticipantCan you post a link to a page where this is and I will take a quick look and then I can give you a solution for it?
AndreParticipantWhat you are referring to is Social Sharing. This is where people can click on the social network they want to share from their social profile/page. This theme does not have this built into it, so it’s usually recommended that a social sharing plugin is used. There are so many social plugins available, it can be a bit overwhelming, but the good thing is that you have a lot of options available.
I’m not sure if you are using Jetpack, but it has it’s own social sharing buttons, but if you’re not using it, you can install a dedicated social sharing plugin.
Here is a link that gives you a list of search results for these kinds of plugins:
AndreParticipantThis should help….for the social widget:
For the other social links related to menu locations:
AndreParticipantSorry for late reply, my building lost internet for a day due to a sprinkler system going off in another suite.
Anyway, good to hear the solution worked!AndreParticipantHi James…. with some simple CSS code, most definitely. However, are you looking to center “all” page and post titles, or just select areas of your website?
By the way, is it possible to get a link to your site and I will check it out as it relates to your centered title(s) request?
I’m going to take a guess that you want to center your page titles so you can try some custom CSS added to the Additional CSS tab of the customizer:
#page-header .entry-title { text-align: center; }
AndreParticipantI know what that is…thought that was fixed though so I will have to check it again. In the meantime, add this to the Additional CSS tab of the customizer:
.woocommerce .col2-set .col-1, .woocommerce-page .col2-set .col-1, .woocommerce .col2-set .col-2, .woocommerce-page .col2-set .col-2 { max-width: initial; }
That should fix it (hopefully). I made a note to fix this with the theme itself though and will get this done today.
AndreParticipantHi Olga,
You are very welcome, and also thank you as well.
Regarding the login issue and the math answer, I will follow up with Ramsey on this and see if he is aware of this happening. It could be a bug with one of the plugins he is using in this site, but we will look into this. However, if you experience this again, let us know as soon as you can and what we may end up doing is disabling the math question (which is a form of captcha).
