ParticipantAndre, newbie behavior again! I’ve installed the easy theme plugin and should have no problems there. However, where is the uploaded Equable Pro v 1.1.1?
Patrick Wallis
ParticipantAll good! Thanks Andre.

ParticipantGot it! Maybe it isn’t a normal setup, but when you rebuild the template (ha!) you can choose to change it. Anyway, when you mentioned Default Template as left column, I went back and chose left column for the page attributes. Customizer is still set up for full width. After updating, voila! Left sidebar on a static front page!

ParticipantAlready tried the different options (left and right column, etc.). I didn’t update, but instead previewed changes and no sidebar. Perhaps I should also change in customizer from Full Width to Boxed 1600?
If you want to rebuild the theme, have at it. Put all of your other work on the back burner! Seriously, really appreciate your help. Will play around with a few of the settings on the static front page and see if I can get it to work.

ParticipantMain page for the left sidebar that’s not showing. Also, main page is indeed a static page. Oooh, for the page attributes, it’s set to Default Template. Thinking this is where it should change?
(thanks for keeping me in check and splitting the support requests. still learning the ropes)

ParticipantYes, indeed it worked. Actually changed the color a few times to test. Glad you’re here and even happier with your Equable Pro updates, especially the Gutenberg. Horrible experience with Equable Lite and the Gutenberg plugin (nothing drastic, but the two didn’t dance too well with each other). I’ve deactivated the Gutenberg plugin.
Speaking of which, I’ve yet to grab my license key to validate because I knew I’d be working from my staging site for awhile. It’s all from Bluehost, so I think it’s much like your Child theme. Can I go ahead and plug in the license key on the staging site? In the end, I’ll be cloning it to my production site.
By the way, the theme tutorials are excellent. Just enough information for a short learning module.

ParticipantAndre, will go into the CSS tab and try this. Thanks! Hey, as confirmation that I’m not going insane, I’m glad you tested out the tagline issue on your end with the same results.
By the way, yes, got the Pro version and having a blast on my test site learning the ropes. The Pro features are a natural step for me. -
